This is the first post from a series I plan to write; this series of posts will be about design patterns – those described by GoF (Gang of Four).

Design patterns described by GoF in their book (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_Patterns) are divided into 3 types:

  • Creational (create objects for you)
    • Factory method – creates objects without specifying exact class to create
    • Abstract factory – groups object factories
    • Builder – constructs complex objects
    • Prototype – creates objects by cloning existing objects
    • Singleton – restricts creation of objects to single object per single class
  • Structural
    • Adapter –
  • Behavioral

TO BE COMPLETED AS PATTERNS-SPECIFIC POSTS ARE ADDED
